Pixieset is an online client gallery platform for photographers. You upload a finished shoot, send the client a private link, and they can view, favorite, download, and order prints from it. We deliver every gallery for Gabe Silverstein Photography through it, and it's the best delivery platform we've used.
Quick verdict
Pixieset makes delivery fast for us and polished for clients. The free plan is fine for testing, but most working photographers will want a paid plan for storage and branding.
- Best for: Photographers delivering weddings, events, portraits, and headshots who want branded galleries without building their own.
- Skip it if: You only send a few files a year and a shared folder is good enough.
What it is
Pixieset's Client Gallery covers the whole hand-off. Galleries can be password protected, downloads can sit behind a separate PIN, and you choose which sizes clients can download, from web-sized to full resolution. Clients can mark favorites and leave comments on their picks, and a built-in store lets them buy prints and downloads.
We use it for everything we photograph: weddings and events, portrait sessions, and corporate headshots.
How we use it
Once a gallery is edited and exported, we upload it, organize it into sections, set download permissions, add a cover image, and send the client their link. From export to delivery takes us about 15 minutes per gallery, so it never becomes a bottleneck.
Favorites do a lot of work for portrait sessions and headshots, where the client needs to narrow down a final selection. Instead of emailing file names back and forth, they mark what they like and we see it right away.
What we like
- Branding. You can set fonts, colors, and cover styles so galleries feel like part of your studio, which matters when clients share the link.
- Presentation. Galleries are clean, load quickly, and look sharp on phones and desktops. Clients regularly compliment them before they start scrolling.
- Easy downloads. Clients can grab single images or the whole gallery without help.
- Simple sharing. Clients forward one link to family or colleagues, and we don't have to set up separate access.
- Reliable uploads. We've uploaded galleries of 800+ photos without babysitting them.
What to know
- The free plan is small. It includes 3 GB of storage and takes a commission on store sales.
- Storage is the real decision. Full-resolution wedding and event galleries fill the lower tiers quickly.
- Passwords and PINs do different things. A gallery password controls who can view; a download PIN controls who can download. Set both on purpose.
- Video is limited on the lower tiers. Check the allowance if you deliver video in galleries.
The client experience
This is where Pixieset earns its place. After a wedding or event, the client has been waiting weeks for their photos, and the moment they open the gallery should match the quality of the work. Pixieset gets that right: fast loading, images that look good at full size, and downloads that don't need instructions.
Clients have told us how easy it was to share their photos with family. We didn't get that kind of feedback when files went out as generic cloud-storage links.
What it costs
At the time of writing (October 2026), Pixieset's Client Gallery plans are priced by storage. Paid plans are cheaper per month if you pay annually.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Billed annually | Storage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 3 GB |
| Basic | $10/mo | $8/mo | 10 GB |
| Plus | $20/mo | $16/mo | 100 GB |
| Pro | $30/mo | $24/mo | 1 TB |
| Ultimate | $50/mo | $40/mo | Unlimited |
Paid plans add a custom domain and remove Pixieset's branding. To pick a tier, estimate how much you deliver in a typical month and how long galleries stay online, then size up. Pixieset also sells bundles with its other studio tools, so check those if you need more than galleries.

ShootProof, Pic-Time, and CloudSpot cover similar ground. If you're comparing, send yourself a test gallery from each on your phone and see which one you'd be happiest handing to a client.
Bottom line
Pixieset is professional, easy to customize, and makes delivery feel intentional rather than improvised. If you're still sending galleries through file-sharing links, switching will change how clients see your work. For the editing side of our workflow, see our Imagen AI review.
